How do you keep track of all your social media? If you are trying to check Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter, Google+ and more and going a little crazy, then maybe one of the tools in this post will save your sanity. I will not attempt to go over all the possible management tools, but will share a few of them with you. It really depends on your needs and what is most important to you.
As I look at different reviews of Social Management Tools a few stand out including: HootSuite, Buffer, Social Oomph and Sprout Social. I decided to focus on HootSuite, which I downloaded for my iPad. There were several features that I really appreciated including the nice clean look, see the image below. Another feature that was a standout for me was the ability to create a post and decide which of my Twitter accounts I wanted to post to or the possibility of posting to all my accounts. It does a nice job of allowing you to look at multiple feeds with one app. I do wish that I could choose to see my Facebook and my different Twitter accounts at the same time on one screen, but it is very simple to navigate from one to another.
Many of these tools are starting to charge a monthly fee or give you a free trial to begin with and then charge you to continue. At this point HootSuite is still free. I plan to continue to use HootSuite as I forge ahead with my Twitter accounts. As a way to connect with teachers I have started a Twitter account for our schools technology. You can follow us @HuskerTech1. Or follow Mike and I @dishtech14.
Are you using one of these tools to manage your social media or maybe something I didn't mention? We would love to hear about your experiences.
